Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 10, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Chess Narrator service, website and admin tools ("the Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Chess Narrator generates narrated chess highlight videos and puzzle shorts and, at your direction, publishes them to social platforms you connect (such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok). Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.
2. Accounts and connections
- You are responsible for the social accounts you connect and for ensuring you are authorized to publish to them.
- You must keep your access credentials confidential and are responsible for activity performed through your connected accounts.
- You may disconnect any platform at any time.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Publish content that is unlawful, infringing, misleading, or that violates the rules of any connected platform.
- Infringe the intellectual-property or other rights of any third party.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
4. Third-party platforms
Your use of connected platforms is subject to their own terms, including YouTube's Terms of Service, Meta/Instagram's Platform Terms, and TikTok's Terms of Service. You are responsible for complying with them. The Service uses those platforms' official APIs and is not endorsed by or affiliated with them.
5. Content and intellectual property
- You retain ownership of the content you create and publish through the Service.
- Chess games used are historical/public-domain records; background music is licensed under Creative Commons (Attribution) and credited in each video's description.
- The Chess Narrator name, logo, and software are our property and may not be used without permission.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that publishing to third-party platforms will always succeed.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chess Narrator and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and disconnect your accounts at any time.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
